In wordpress 1.5, any registered user would default at level 1 status. that means that they can see ip addresses and email addresses of other users. This is unaccceptable. Registered users should start at level 0, and the admin should be able to promote them if he/she wants to. Please let me know if there is any way to change this default setting to that when random people register on my blog, they start at level 0 privilages, not level 1.
Does anyone know if this has been fixed in 1.5.1?
Do we really want to make the "release notes" page WORLD WRITABLE? I put a caveat on there just so people don't get too complacent. Thanks, -danny
