Talk:Theme Unit Test

Nkuttler, re: these changes, I don't think the Resources you added here add value to the Unit Test. It's a highly focused page that corresponds to the test XML file. Maybe they could go on a different page?

There's missing images in the data. For example http://wpthemetestdata.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/boat.jpg in images test is a 404

Missing audio file

It's returning a 404.

Embedded media settings?

If I understand correctly, the embedded media settings have been removed from the latest versions of WordPress. Do we still need the following section?

Settings -> Media: ensure that no values are set for max width or height of Embedded media. This setting will facilitate testing of the Theme $content_width setting/implementation.

'Title With Markup' test

The test data file mentioned at the start includes a post entitled "Markup: Title With Markup". The body of the post indicates the post title should render with certain word in 'italics' and 'bold'.

  1. The post title, right after importing it into my local WP instance (via default WP importer plugin) does not include any markup surrounding those words (and therefore my theme displays the title without those effects). Is the test data (or this test as a whole) outdated or missing something?
  2. While on the topic, the test should probably refer to 'emphasis' and 'strong' (rather than 'italics' and 'bold'), as the specific formatting may vary from theme to theme

Thanks in advance for the help! (I couldn't find a codex specific about that test data file, so I hope it's ok to post on this page)
