User:Dancole/Feature and Enhancement Inclusion Policy

This article is a ROUGH DRAFT. The author is still working on this document, so please do not edit this without the author's permission. The content within this article may not yet be verified or valid. This information is subject to change.

Feature and enhancement requests can be made at any point in the development process by anyone. Ideas for improvement should first be placed in the mailing list or in the Ideas forum. Once the idea has been agreed upon by the community, a Trac ticket should be created that describes the feature or enhancement in detail and links to all discussions on the idea. All requests that are made in Trac should be put in the Future Release Milestone, unless they are accepted during the planning stage of a release. Feature and enhancement tickets will be selected at the end of the planning stage by the core developers and other community members present at planning meeting. All tickets that are selected for the release must abide by the Release Schedule and Feature Freeze Policy.
