My name is Dave Reid and I'm a computer science major at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. My website and blog are at DaveReid.net. I'll be living (in my first apartment!) this summer with my very wonderful girlfriend, Jenny here in Lincoln. Go Huskers!
I love music, marching band, and drum corps; I play French Horn, mellophone and I also sing. I'm currently a member of the Cornhusker Marching Band and I was a member of the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps in 2003 and 2005 (age-out). I love learning new programming languages and software, and becoming involved in open source software. Some of my favorite projects are Mozilla, OpenOffice, GAIM, musikCube, CodeBlocks, GIMP, SciTE, Eclipse, MySQL, FileZilla, and Audacity. I also recreationally play Halo PC to relax when I'm not programming.
