Q. My Widgets page freezes and I can't configure or add Widgets 

That likely means one of the Widget plugins is not compatible with WordPress version 2.7 so deactivate your plugins one-by-one to find which plugin needs to be update. Actually this is a CSS issue with global.css the need to remove relative positioning.
