What I'm think of is a Welcome to WordPress page. A sort of introduction to the program - think of it as a user friendly page that leans toward the newer user rather than the hacker. A gateway into the wiki so to speak. It needs to be aimed at the people who have just installed WP, though it would also serve a secondary function of appearing welcoming and supportive to potential users.
Chucking someone in with a list of All Pages won't work - it's too overwhelming, and the FAQ cannot cover everything - yet.
So, something along the lines of the following, but with links. The page would be a standalone.
A brief intro to the wiki and how to use the sidebar to the left (link this to text at the bottom of the page so as not to clutter). Needed because wikis and sites work differently.

It's hard to explain the difference between this and the faq... the faq is there when people shout "Help!" but the WTWP is there for the interested to browse, see where they may not have looked before.
It doesn't have to be a long page - better that it be concise - but if people are only hitting the FAQ and answer pages there, they may miss pages here which they could find useful and which could save a forum post.
What say you ?
