About Kathleen

Howdy everyone. My name is Kathleen and I have been a Wordpress user since .72. :) I am a 15 year old girl from Pennsylvannia and though not experienced with coding, I find that I am a people friendly person and I deal well with new people to wordpress, where I can point them in the right direction. I can handle even the most irritating of Wordpress users. I am happy to contribute to any project and I am looking for ways to contribute to the Codex, starting with the clean-up.

You can contact me at -bando89@REMOVETHISgmail.com OR I am spirit892 at the wordpress forum.

Again, welcome and let us know how we can help you help us on the WordPress Codex.

Cleanup

Thank you for volunteering to help. We really need the help. Did you go through the Codex:Tasks list to see if there is something in particular you want to do? Or are you looking for an assignment? Just let me know what you are up to doing and I'll "tell you what to do". ;-)

We hang out on the IRC Freenode #wordpress-docs channel and you can stop in any time and we'll help you as best we can. Click on my name to respond to this and leave a note on my discussion page. Thanks again and your efforts are seriously appreciated. Lorelle 01:35, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, Spirit892, we need everyone to pitch in. Are you familiar enough with the differences between 1.2 and 1.5 versions? Then we need you to attack the newly designed FAQ. Get with User:MichaelH for details if you have any questions as they are his baby, though he's not that up on the two versions.
I've added bunch of new tasks last night, and more will come in during the next couple of days for the Codex:Tasks list and we need some newbie-styled articles for the WordPress Lessons.
If you are up to it, sign up and let me know. But do whatever you think you are up to as you get more familiar with how this all works. Lorelle 15:28, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

FAQ Cleanup

Spirit892; Hello. FAQs need to be cleaned of any reference to WordPress 1.2. Information on 1.2 can be found FAQ Old and the faq.wordpress.org site, so we don't need that info in the cureent FAQ and it's related sub FAQs. Of course any wording in the FAQs should be checked, and along with that the spelling, grammer, and links to articles. Have at it. I'm also trying to add questions to each area as I encounter an issue--especially if I see it asked on the Forums more than once. If you think of questions add 'em. Hope that helps and please feel free to join the #wordpress-docs in IRC. Thanks for helping and contributing.

We Thank You

The Codex Documenation Team and all of WordPress thank you for your time, effort, and contributions during this past Codex Cleanup Week. It has been amazing. Over twenty new documents were added, and more are still in the works that will be released over the next couple of weeks. The entire Codex is now categorized, improving the ability of users to find the related information they are looking for.

The next big Codex-related event is WordPress Backup Week July 23-30. The project will promote backing up your WordPress database and site for the user's protection and further develop the relationship between the Codex and the WordPress Support Forum. Documentation volunteers will be cleaning up and expanding the backup and restore information on the site and Forum volunteers will be readied to help users in the Forum walk through their site backups. We need your help.

We are also starting a page for information and sign up for a variety of Fundraising and Promotions Events for WordPress and your help is needed there, too.

Thanks again for helping.

Lorelle and the whole Cleanup Codex volunteer team
