Hello,
I have assured that myDB is created to spec, and I have uploaded the files to a subfolder named blog. That being said I still get the erros when trying to either view, or, to run the install.php.
I have changed the username and password several times to assure that it is not the issue.
It is very frustrating that there are no clear descriptions on how to remedy this.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
With my 1st WordPress installation, I made a lot of changes to the theme I was using before I stumbled upon the possibility of creating Child Themes. The Codex does not emphasize this feature enough. It is too easy for new users knowing nothing of WordPress, but knowledgeable in CSS and PHP, to go far down the wrong road before finding out there is a better way.
I plan to poke around the Codex a bit and point out the Child Theme option and link to the appropriate pages where ever it makes sense, so new users are better aware of this option. Bcworkz 02:26, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
