Working on new version for 2.1

I am working on a new version of this article for 2.1 -- see my user page.

jhodgdon 23:36, 15 Feb 2007 (UTC)

2.1 info was added...

I finished adding notes on deprecated and new functions for 2.1 a while back... many functions are undocumented - please feel free to jump in and document them!

Individual Function Reference Pages Guide

I have added a guide for writing Individual Function Reference Pages on my user page. It is ambitious and I am starting new page edits now (in no particular order).

For brevity, I will not repeat the guide here (unless asked) until I'm sure there is no more feedback about any changes. If you see anything troublesome, please add it to my talk page. I would rather find out about a big Gotcha now and not after a month or two of editing.

Thanks,

Back to Function Reference on child pages

Speaking as an end-user of this section, it would be great to be able to go back to the Function list (ie: this page) from a link on any page that is a child of this page. If I were a better wiki user, I'd try to modify the template, but that's out of my depth. From a usability perspective, though, making the user go to Toolbox > Developer Docs and then dig down to get back to the function reference main page to review a list of functions, is not very friendly.

If you come across any without a backlink, you can edit and add the code

Incomplete list

I noticed that some functions mainly used in header.php wp_title, bloginfo and a few more are missing from the lists. Is there any reason for this? I'm quite new to wordpress, so I'll ask here before altering the docs

I'm also new and just added the link to function _n . I did this following rule 4 in Codex Guidelines: Edit mercilessly. Graphity 14:18, 21 December 2011 (GMT)

Missing function(s) for 3.3

Is there a reason there's no link to wp_editor from the Function Reference page? I'd add it, but I don't want to overstep my bounds. Pjohanneson 17:52, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
