I removed information from several sections that described a "Method #2" scenario for using the function. It seemed to me like an extremely odd (and perhaps mistaken) use of the function - it doesn't make a lot of sense to use the author's number of posts on the current site as the anchor text for their external link. (It would have made much more sense as the anchor for get_author_posts_url().)
In any case, I felt it very, very unlikely that anyone else would have need of it, certainly not likely enough to warrant being included in the official documentation. Justin Ryan 02:12, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
