For the longest time, I was just a regular WordPress user. I didn't understand page templating, widget zones, or how to change the theme (among other shortcomings).
My days as a member of the uneducated masses were limited though.
One day, I began a journey. It was a journey that lead into another journey and it was on that second journey that I learned how to WordPress.
Now, equipped with the ability to WordPress, I begin a third journey: to give back to the WordPress like the WordPress had given to me.
And so it was.
Feel free to contact me:
I work for a WordPress Theme Shop as a site admin & developer and will always be increasing my knowledge base, abilities, and overall value.
I have a firm understanding of the WordPress basics aka I can recite the backend menu items and system settings of the default install off the top of my head.
I have a firm understanding of the WordPress file structure, theming, page templates, functions, and hooking into the backend.
I can hold my own in HTML & CSS, work well with the WordPress PHP functions, and can create my own PHP operations as needed.
I am a great teacher. I can put things into a perspective the user can understand and explain things in any number of ways depending on who I am speaking with.
I can interpret poor english well and can extract what the user means from what they say.
I can fix poor english; spelling and grammar mistakes drive me insane.
It is my expectation that by contributing back to the WordPress Codex I will learn even more, establish valuable connections, and ultimately become more useful to the community.
I aim to fix any english mistakes, optimize phrasing for clarity, and may even reorganize entire Codex entries if I think of a better structure.
Naturally, I have a list of documents that I've been working on. Feel free to check them out.
