Editing Files

I see you removed my edit for "spam". Just so you know, I'm in no way associated with PhpStorm. It's just a much better editor than a lot of them listed on there so I thought it would help others, but obviously that's hard to do with people like you accusing it of being "spam".

I'll take your word for it if you say you're not affiliated with them. I just find it a bit odd when it 3 out of 4 of the last content additions for that page in the last few months were adding spam links for Phpstorm. The 2 before you were employees/associates of Jetbrains/Phpstorm. Jetbrains is also spamming the crap out of Wikipedia and other sites. So, it's not odd that I might find it a bit suspect. Ok, this bit: 'people like you accusing it of being "spam"' ...really? That unnecessary. Relax a bit. It's not personal. Well, that's your opinion that it's better than others listed. Not everyone agrees with you.

No, you're right - that does look very suspect. I didn't realise it had happened so many times previously! To be fair, this was my first Codex edit and PhpStorm is an IDE I've been using for ages so I was quite surprised when I didn't see it listed. Each to their own I guess!

No worries, man. Like I said, it's definitely not personal. :) Don't let that discourage you from editing though. (Wikipedia's a great place to gain experience on editing, BTW.)

CDN77 link removed?

Hi, I'd like to know why you have removed my edit for the CDN and WordPress integration (https://codex.wordpress.org/index.php?title=WordPress_Optimization&diff=next&oldid=160614)? Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom. I removed the edit because it seems clear that (up till now) your only reason for contributing to the Codex is to promote your company, CDN77. You had previously added a link to CDN77 that I reverted and marked as link promo spam. Then to get around it, you linked to articles on other domains that linked to and/or featured CDN77 prominently. That's still spam. The Codex is not a link directory or a place to advertise one's business interests. It should be a place that provides non-partisan informational value for WordPress developers and users. Please keep that in mind. Thank you.
