Thoughts While Editing

This is so lovely. The following are just thoughts to consider.

• Should we explain the different between "blogs" and "websites"? I usually say that a blog is a personal site that reflects the opinions and interests of the owner. A website is a collection of articles and information about a specific subject, service or product and may or may not be a reflection of the owner. It doesn't need this, but I thought about it.
• In the Glossary, are there links to the Administration Panels that highlight each of the different sections in the Admin? Think about the links and what will be more helpful - linking to the definition and/or the instructions on how to use "categories" or whatever. If the glossary has the links - leave them. If not - think about this. What will better serve the user reading this?
• Can you double check the link for Theme Switcher? I think there might a mention in the Plugins page. I worry about maintaining such links that might change without notice.
• I added back at the end "more information". If you can add some of the links you had before on Web semantics, that would be good.

Lorelle, the page MichaelH created is more for explaining terms used/seen in WordPress to newbies and users, in general. We will need to start using a standard set of terms to describe the various graphical elements in the adminstration screens/pages/panels and include that in that document.

Rename article to "Wordpress Terminology" (or similar)

I don't think "semantics" is the right word -- and the rest the article (first paragraph, subheadings) all use "terminology".
"Semantics" also has an existing meaning in the context of HTML authoring, so it's a little confusing. Sam2 19:25, 12 Feb 2006 (GMT)

As soon as I saw the article I had the same thought: if you don't mean "semantics" in the strict sense, then use "terminology". And also noticed that you used "terminology" in the text. --bentrem 18:54, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
