Static page

I'm just waiting for the last of the little holes to be filled for Static Page article. Let me know when you are ready as I'd like to move that into the main docs. Thanks!! Lorelle 14:08, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I took some slices and rearranged Static Page. It just needed a kick in the flow department and we're anxious to get this ready to go. Your code looked great for the mini-loop and I'm anxious to see it added and the last of the permalink/rewrite information. This is great. People keep asking for it on the forum, so I'm eager to get it "out there". Thanks for all your hard work!! Lorelle 02:01, 29 Jul 2005 (UTC)

New current page

If you haven't heard from twistedraisin about the current events page, I'm sure you can email directly, and if you still don't get a response, let me know and we'll work on it together. Thanks! Lorelle 02:55, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I think he's busy with his final tests. I'll wait until July 15--PotterSys 16:18, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Images

We love having new images, but we have a few rules for adding images that I don't think are in the instructions yet. Only in the guidelines.

Please, keep the name specific to what it is. For example, if you are writing an article about Managing Links and upload a screenshot of the Link Manager in WordPress, don't call it screenshot of using links in wordpress.jpg. First, we know it's a screenshot. Second, that's too long. Third, NO SPACES please in file names. Dashes are okay. And last, name it what it is: link-manager-panel.jpg. Keep file sizes small, preferably below 60K or smaller when possible, and keep the width of the image to 600px wide when possible. You can find more specifics at Codex:Styles.

If you have uploaded an image incorrectly, upload a new version and let me know by leaving a message on my user page and I'll delete the old one for you.

Thanks and we're eager for your article so let me know when it's ready for review and editing. Lorelle 17:44, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

We Thank You

The Codex Documenation Team and all of WordPress thank you for your time, effort, and contributions during this past Codex Cleanup Week. It has been amazing. Over twenty new documents were added, and more are still in the works that will be released over the next couple of weeks. The entire Codex is now categorized, improving the ability of users to find the related information they are looking for.

The next big Codex-related event is WordPress Backup Week July 23-30. The project will promote backing up your WordPress database and site for the user's protection and further develop the relationship between the Codex and the WordPress Support Forum. Documentation volunteers will be cleaning up and expanding the backup and restore information on the site and Forum volunteers will be readied to help users in the Forum walk through their site backups. We need your help.

We are also starting a page for information and sign up for a variety of Fundraising and Promotions Events for WordPress and your help is needed there, too.

Thanks again for helping.

Lorelle and the whole Cleanup Codex volunteer team

Codex will be down

I thought I would just give you a warning. It was announced on the wp-docs mailing list that the Codex would be accessible but not "editable" for a few hours within the next 24 hours. The database is being worked on and will be moved to the new server. Edits made, if possible to be made, during this time might not make the transition. Please save your information to your hard drive and add it tomorrow. Thanks. Lorelle 01:56, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)
