Lessons

I checked "recent changes" right after saving the Stepping into Templates article and I saved over your changes by less than one minute with the original stuff. SORRY. I'll leave it alone if you can fix it back to whatever was broken. One of the little probs with this system. ThanksLorelle 22:02, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Problems with Log Files

MichaelH has been going through EVERY file on the Codex, editing and fixing everything, with amazing persistence and determination. He's found more than a few odd things, and the latest is the Special:Log page. I checked it yesterday, per his request, and there were only a few things on the list, and nothing since January. I checked it again today and now there are dozens of items on the list, but still nothing new since January except one new thing I did yesterday. Maybe this stopped working in January and has been repaired as of Wednesday's fix, but it is worth checking out in case it might be associated with another problem. Or maybe it is fixed and we can forget about it. Thanks. Lorelle 20:18, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)

We Thank You

The Codex Documenation Team and all of WordPress thank you for your time, effort, and contributions during this past Codex Cleanup Week. It has been amazing. Over twenty new documents were added, and more are still in the works that will be released over the next couple of weeks. The entire Codex is now categorized, improving the ability of users to find the related information they are looking for.

The next big Codex-related event is WordPress Backup Week July 23-30. The project will promote backing up your WordPress database and site for the user's protection and further develop the relationship between the Codex and the WordPress Support Forum. Documentation volunteers will be cleaning up and expanding the backup and restore information on the site and Forum volunteers will be readied to help users in the Forum walk through their site backups. We need your help.

We are also starting a page for information and sign up for a variety of Fundraising and Promotions Events for WordPress and your help is needed there, too.

Thanks again for helping.

Lorelle and the whole Cleanup Codex volunteer team

As was mentioned at the meetup, Sunday (today) was when the Backup button was to come down. I came to do it and you've done it. Thank you. Lorelle 12:57, 7 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Main Page Javascript

Matt, I'm not too sure the javascript you placed on the Main_Page is actually working. --MichaelH (talk) 12:08, 30 Sep 2006 (GMT)

Definetly not working - hidden in an HTML comment for now. Reading [1] it looks like you can't put a script tag in the wiki text for obvious reasons. Probably needs adding to the codex theme. --Westi 14:08, 30 Sep 2006 (GMT)

Question about Codex

Is there a place where we can download the Code for codex? I would like to try WordPress with a mediawiki backend... I've tried google with no luck.

Thanks!

Improving Codex

Hi matt. wikipedia has a feature enabling sort tables by adding class="sortable" ( see this link ). Can you add this feature to Wordpess Codex? Ramiy 20:23, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
