Gravatars

You are a star!!! This is great. And much needed.

Do you want the editors here to clean up the page to match the default look (styling) or do you want to learn how to do it yourself? Minor stuff.

To respond, click my name and leave a note in my discussion page. Thank you so much!!!! Lorelle 01:31, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I'll take a quick look to clean it up so you can see what it "should" look like when styled. But overall, it looks great.
The Codex:Tasks list is filled with articles, or you can come to me, or Carthik or join the wp-docs mailing list and ask there, as that is where a lot of business gets done. Remember to read the Contributing and Guidelines page to make sure you understand how this all works, and the Codex:Styles page will also help you with layout. All articles must totally and completely tie in with WordPress, helping users understand how it works and how to work with it. We'd love to have anything you have to offer!
Oh, and everyone is learning how to do things here, but a reminder to sign your name when posting a note with four tildes (~) so people can quickly click on your name to respond back. Speeds up the process.
Thanks so much! Lorelle 03:25, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Excellent fixes! We just avoid use of "I" and only write about "you", the user, in the Codex. So I cleaned up the images with a better text and look, but it is great.
Just one last thing. Is there a way to use gravatars or avatars without the plugin? If so, we need to have that info in the article. If there is anything else to add, do so and I'll release the rough draft tomorrow or Friday and it's ready for the rest of the world to start hacking on it.  :-)
It's wonderful information. Thank you! Lorelle 02:03, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Also, please do not add anything to the table of contents. We never add "rough draft" articles to the table of contents, and the documentation team handles that part. When an article is ready, trust us, it will go through the process and be there. I will release the link in the proper section when the article is ready to go. Thanks. I've released your article to the general documentation and included a link from the WordPress Lessons and Blog Design and Layout table of contents, and included it as a featured article on the front page of the Codex in a month or so and as a featured article on the WordPress Forum. Thought you might like to know. Thanks for the great work on this. What's next?  ;-) Lorelle 21:09, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Quicktags

Here is my article on my site about doing the quicktags, if it will help you do this for the Codex, use anything you want. This is commonly requested on the forum and would really help a lot. Lorelle 12:20, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

We Thank You

The Codex Documenation Team and all of WordPress thank you for your time, effort, and contributions during this past Codex Cleanup Week. It has been amazing. Over twenty new documents were added, and more are still in the works that will be released over the next couple of weeks. The entire Codex is now categorized, improving the ability of users to find the related information they are looking for.

The next big Codex-related event is WordPress Backup Week July 23-30. The project will promote backing up your WordPress database and site for the user's protection and further develop the relationship between the Codex and the WordPress Support Forum. Documentation volunteers will be cleaning up and expanding the backup and restore information on the site and Forum volunteers will be readied to help users in the Forum walk through their site backups. We need your help.

We are also starting a page for information and sign up for a variety of Fundraising and Promotions Events for WordPress and your help is needed there, too.

Thanks again for helping.

Lorelle and the whole Cleanup Codex volunteer team
