Again, welcome and let us know how we can help you help us on the WordPress Codex.
Hey, Kickass. Welcome to the world of WordPress writing!
Have you taken a look at the list of "wanted" articles on the Codex:Tasks list yet? Specifically look at the WordPress Lessons section as we really need some newbie stuff there. A lot of stuff.
To answer me back, click on my name and post a note on my discussion page, or stop in the #wp-docs channel on the IRC/Freenode and ping me. I'm "relle". Welcome and let's see what we can do to put you to work! Thanks. Lorelle 03:12, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Links from About.com are usually very good and long lasting, though they recently (within past year or so) changed the engine underneath and a lot of links got borked. They have some excellent resources and I've worked with them for many, many years, since they first began. But articles and section editors come and go and they are struggling, so use your best judgement. You're doing great.
And here's an even simplier request, then. I see a few people styling their "search box" area with their Theme Development, but not many. Most leave it boring and dull. A simple how to style a form, which would apply to comments as well as the search form, would be slick. Pushing the "directly associated with WordPress" issue, but I think that something on styling forms, addressing the styles of these things would be great. I have someone else who is supposed to be doing an article on customizing your comments, and I'm not sure how indepth he is going to go into design elements, but forms in general - perfect. Especially since they are used in two very prominent ways on WordPress sites - search and comments. So you do style and I'll get him to do tags and controlling output and all. Whatcha think? Kickass; remember you can use 4 tildes ~~~~ to render your User Name and date automatically when leaving signatures on other User Talk pages. Thanks for contributing to Codex.
REMINDER
WE NEED YOU!
Codex Cleanup Week is Saturday, June 18 through Sunday, June 26. This is a major push to clean up the Codex and stuff it full of great documenation so we can relax a little this summer.
Thanks for everything you do!
I AM THE ONE...well, until Carthik gets back, I'm the one to talk to about the Fav Icon thing. I thought it was the WordPress logo, a W but I see now that it is now gone. I'll pass on the info, though it may take a while. We'll see.
Thanks. Lorelle 14:43, 30 Jun 2005 (UTC)
The Codex Documenation Team and all of WordPress thank you for your time, effort, and contributions during this past Codex Cleanup Week. It has been amazing. Over twenty new documents were added, and more are still in the works that will be released over the next couple of weeks. The entire Codex is now categorized, improving the ability of users to find the related information they are looking for.
The next big Codex-related event is WordPress Backup Week July 23-30. The project will promote backing up your WordPress database and site for the user's protection and further develop the relationship between the Codex and the WordPress Support Forum. Documentation volunteers will be cleaning up and expanding the backup and restore information on the site and Forum volunteers will be readied to help users in the Forum walk through their site backups. We need your help.
We are also starting a page for information and sign up for a variety of Fundraising and Promotions Events for WordPress and your help is needed there, too.
Thanks again for helping.
Lorelle and the whole Cleanup Codex volunteer team
To help users find themes appropriate to their needs, we are asking Theme authors and volunteers to create a keyword description list for all the Themes on the Using Themes/Theme List.
These are not reviews but searchable keywords. Examples include:

Thank you for helping us flesh out the Theme list and help direct users to the Themes they need. And thank you for your valuable contributions to the WordPress Community. Lorelle 22:21, 30 Jul 2005 (UTC)
